We've always felt that true mastery of architectural practice is found when buildings are designed and constructed not 'on' the land, but rather integrated 'in' the land, with consciousness and respect for the cycles of natures that it co-exists among.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This 2011 construction 'Chile House' by Johnston Marklee is a truly fitting example of that ideal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Appearing as a singular mass from the exterior, the building is formed by two identical curved volumes hinged together at a single point. One volume is oriented towards the sky the other to the ocean."
