HIGH REP JOURNEY CONTINUES! Arms in the air raised in victory! I’m now on 40 reps per set and while the reps are going down I’m still adding weight to challenge myself and find a weight where I can still do all the reps. I’m so proud of myself for sticking with this journey and completing this insane number of reps to lay in deep strength in my body. Exercising with specific goals and a specific routine is so satisfying. You have to show up and do the work but it’s incredibly gratifying to hit and surpass a goal in a tangible way. I’ve got three more workouts left to complete this 12 week high rep protocol and I’m going to enjoy them! I’m so glad I embarked on this journey, for the physical transformation, for permanently upgrading my strength and endurance and for the upgrade in mental commitment to a goal. When it comes to muscle soreness and tightness be PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE! Take the time to warn up sufficiently before your work out. Using a foam roller and/or a lacrosse ball to work out any knots or tight areas makes all the difference! In the past I’ve been guilty of going through the motions or just jumping straight into my workouts without warming up properly. I learned the hard way through numerous niggles and muscle strains that a proper warm up is essential. And it’s a fact that the older you get the less you get away a shitty or non existent warm up! You’ll have better quality workouts and save yourself time & money on trips to the physio. These pieces of equipment are one of the cheapest and best investments in yourself you can make.
