Finasteride Profile: Finasteride, often called Proscar, is a DHT blocker. When taken orally, Finasteride binds quickly to the prostate gland reversing what is commonly called “enlarged prostate” or BPH, a non cancerous enlargement of the prostate. Studies done by the mayo clinic indicate that orally administered Finasteride binds poorly to the receptors in the scalp. Thusly, oral administration has little to no affect on androgenic alopecia or male pattern baldness. Previous contradictions claimed that finasteride showed 30% reversals of hairloss in 80% of the clinical trial, but this trial was paid for by the pharmaceutical company. I used to always be the girl who would start a new “thing” just to lose weight and never followed through with it because it didn’t give me “instant” results like I wanted. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Squat challenges, Pinterest workouts, YouTube videos, hrs spent on the elliptical at the gym, 48hr juice cleanses, major calorie deficit, you name it – I tried it! 🤦🏾‍♀️ And guess what!? I NEVER got sustainable results with ANY of those! One of the main reasons why – ACCOUNTABILITY! 👭👭 I thought I was good enough to do it on my own. If I “messed up”, no one would know….(See how far that got me!😒) I had no one checking in on me. No one to care... NOW - I have 20+ accountability partners cheering me on and supporting me DAILY! I log my workouts in our tracker app & post along with my accountability crew. When I’m struggling – I have them to turn to! Whether it’s a text or zoom to workout together! It’s not a “ME” thang! It’s a “WE” thang! We’re in this TOGETHER to WIN!💜💜 Since I've been apart of these accountability groups – I haven’t stopped! Nor would I want to! Good or bad days – I have support no matter what life throws at me! Haven't been posting so much ... life has been hitting me left and right...with work..with my knee that is still killing me.
