𝐓𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊⠀ ⠀ Is your lower back feeling tight, and you've tried the forward bend stretch and it doesn't seem to help. You may want to try and stretch your lats. Your lats connected to the thoracolumbar fascia which surrounds the lower back muscles and hip flexors. Stretching it may help release some tension in the back area. There is some research (Schleip 2003) that fascia is able to affect the plasticity of the surrounding tissue so it that may be one of the possible ways that is affects the muscles. ⠀ To stretch the thoracolumbar fascia through the lats we will perform a side bending lat stretch. Find a corner wall, reach over and grab with the outside arm and bend like a bow pushing your hip out to the side. You should feel your lat stretch as well as the lower back running down into the hip. Hold for at least 30 seconds and perform 3 sets. ⠀ Note this isn't medical advice and those with LBP should consult a doctor. However those with lower backs that just seem stiff, let me know if it helped you.

BACK & HAMMIES ~~ posterior chain things ~~ I’ve been a little out of my normal routine for the past few days, so I guess this morning I decided to continue the trend ??? With the current split I’ve been doing I don’t really mix upper and lower body, but I got to the gym this morning and just strongly felt like this is what I wanted to do 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I mean hey they obviously make sense together, so here it is! ⭐️Warmup: 1️⃣TRX rows (squeeze cheeks, keep body a straight line, 3x10) 2️⃣Band over and backs superset with band pull aparts (watch full vid, 3x10-12 each) 3️⃣Stability ball hamstring curls (I love these lol, 3x12) ⭐️Workout: 4️⃣Hex bar deadlifts (4x8-12) 5️⃣Hex bar rows (superset with #6 , 3x10) 6️⃣Single arm bent over row (felt weird to do with a plate but I didn’t feel like running to the other side of the gym for a dumbbell, time is money people, 3x10-12 each arm) 7️⃣Cable complex: rope row to squat to Romanian deadlift (3x10-12) 8️⃣Barbell Romanian deadlift to bent over row (3x8-10) 9️⃣Laying hamstring curls (3x10-12) 🌟🌟Vocab term!!! ~Posterior~ basically means the back part of your body, as opposed to the front which would be anterior. :)

5am back workout with my boy @terrencethetrainer. I'm playing around with editing my own videos on premier and Imovie, so stick around as I learn and make my videos better. Workout wise we started by doing a total of 50 pull ups, 3 sets of 7-10 reps of a 3 plates drop set with a machine Lat pull, 3 cannon ball sets of machine rows and finished with a super set of reverse grip pull downs and did a modified bent over pull down for 4 sets of 20 reps.
