I came across a great topic/research done by Dr. Michael Breus and wanted to share with you on perhaps finding out what type of sleeper you might be. Basically chronotypes are a termed used to determine whether you are early bird or a night owl. Bears tend to sleep and wake according to the sun, feeling most energetic during the daytime and having no trouble falling asleep at night. Their peak productivity occurs in the mid-morning and dips during the mid-afternoon slump. They represent 50% of the population. Wolves (also known as night owls) go to sleep and wake later than others. Their peak productivity happens in the middle of the day and in the evening after everyone else has already logged off. Wolves represent 15-20% of the population. Lions (also known as early birds) wake up early and are most productive in the morning. They get most of their productivity in before noon, so they’re naturally tired by the evening and go to sleep early. Lions represent 15-20% of the population. Dolphins are light sleepers who have difficulty following a regular sleep routine due to more frequent nighttime awakenings. Their most productive in the mid-morning to early afternoon. Q-U-A-D-S Every time I go to the gym now the squat rack is taken, and there’s only one 😭 so I haven’t squatted in almost a month, nbd. This is my routine when the squat rack is taken! -warm up bike -stretching -leg press regular stance, superset with feet together and lower weight. -leg extension dropset, superset one legged low weight. -goblet squats (I use kettle bells) 3/4 x 12 -hip adduction, dropset. -sometimes cool down bike. -split squats at home, body weight. -walking lunges as final finisher. -random amounts of squats if I feel like it, at home. •my face when I fly out Wednesday afternoon and I haven’t packed any of my clothes yet🙃

Back to school Monday!!!! Well for my little junior, I don’t even know how it’s possible that she’s a junior already but that’s beside the point. It’s a busy morning so I didn’t have a ton of time but I still got something g done and man was it rough! I haven’t been working on strength as I’ve been focusing heavily on rebuilding my endurance base so I knew going into an “arms day” workout it was going to be hard both physically and mentally. Yep, just as I’d suspected, I’ve lost a lot of strength. It stinks but I know what to do to get it back. Reflect often. Be mindful not to project your thoughts and feelings onto others. For example it’s easy to think “they didn’t do x because they don’t like me” or “they must think poorly of me because I did y” not taking into account how many different variables go into a given situation. My favorite machine at the gym. It took me about a month of continuous working out to get confident enough to do anything other then cardio at the gym. The gym can be an intimidating place, but I hate running! So I realized I had to switch it up and stop being a woose and so I did my research. I found online workouts and videos of how to use the cable machine. I’m glad I did because I’m already seeing results in my arm and upper body!! The next hurtle is making by way over to the free weights area, but that’s a step for another day. #gym #armdayworkout #cablemachine #armday

Ich bin damit durch. Ich könnte kotzen und weinen, ich weiß nur noch nicht in welcher Reihenfolge. Nacken Verspannungen sind noch lächerlich. Chronische Entzündung im Ellenbogen. Tennisarm. Kortison Spritzen und Magnetresonanz. Aber das schlimmste. 2 -4 Wochen keine Kurzhanteln und Oberkörper Training nur abgespeckt. Werde ich wieder dicker ? Baue ich wieder ab was ich mir so hart erarbeitet habe ? 💜 I'm done with this. I could puke and cry, I just do not know in what order. Neck tension is still ridiculous. Wide Grip Latissimus (Lats) Pulldown: . When pulling the weight downwards, try to not exceed a 15% lean back. This angle of lean seems to best incorporate the Lats and Biceps. . There is no real benefit from pulling the bar past your nose/parallel point. . Remember to fully extend the Lats before attempting to contract them in order to get the most benefit in muscle growth (especially for taller individuals). . As always good luck.

I get this question quite often and although we can use these exercises to directly target our arm muscles more important is not exactly the exercises perse but more on "PROGRESSION" and "FREQUENCY" of these arsenals we have on our tool belt. Whenever to comes down to progression there's a few methods on how to progress definitively. Whether it be load or volume, there's not one black and white way of training. This is what most individuals get wrong. We must train each of the muscle groups and their nuances but also we must train in different rep ranges such as strength or hypertrophy. This includes changes in reps, rest periods and weight basically. OK.. so we have that covered. If you are one of those fellas or gals that are lacking arms and what to bring those puppies up. We also can add more in the realm of frequency. If you are already hitting the arms a couple times a week on upper days or in on a Push and Pull splits, why not an extra exercise on one of you lower/leg days. This is a easy way to train your arms with higher frequency and also not add a total "arm day" to your split which can neglect bang for the buck on not hitting the larger muscle groups and basically just waste a day on arms. (i.e. smaller muscle group) Hope that helps!
