3 months. 25 lbs down, no deviation in the elimination of wheat, and of all plant based eating. I’ve hit a snag my friends. I’ve always had histamine issues and I now develop a serious reaction related to strenuous anaerobic training. It’s a major setback and it’s frightening because my blood pressure is dropping out when my body is covered in hives. I got into Penn State with a great specialist and I’m hopeful we find an answer. There is no free lunch or free ride or whatever you want to call it and that's the truth.  You cannot get fit or stay fit on 3 easy payments of $9.99 or training 10 minutes a day or drinking some magic potion. . Becoming truly fit is never easy, nor should it be but I do feel these rules are extremely important for those of us who eat a forbidden food then proceed to punish ourselves with either hours and hours of a grueling workout, starving ourselves, extended fasting schedules and negative self talk.  Sound familiar? . Let's help each other.  When one falls, let's help them up.  Let's get rid of diet rules.  Food is neither good nor bad; it's just food.  Dump those social media accounts who make you feel inadequate, a failure or that you need to be someone else.  Most of the time eat nourishing and metabolically supportive food.  If you want that special something, acknowledge it, eat it without guilt, shame or regret and move on.  Recognize how you feel eating it, and how you feel afterwards.  Was it everything you thought it would be? Did you feel good afterwards?  Were your hunger, energy and cravings still in check?  Was it worth it. . I, personally don’t find it helpful to anyone to demonize foods. 3 years into bodybuilding/competing and it never gets easier on what to do post contest. Right now I've accustomed back into a "normal" life eating when convenient rather than on a schedule and working out for health rather than for fat loss and muscle growth, learning to be more social and channeling the same drive I used contest prep into other aspects of my life. 2 of my favorite things in one picture ⚾ tonight was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Not only was I reunited with my boyz, but I was able to do YOGA on the field afterwards. My body is sore but even though I had a little trouble I accepted where I was and enjoyed the moment. Breathe in and enjoy what life offers you. This is one of the coolest experiences and coolest place I've practiced yoga.Throughout the class the teacher kept saying "close your eyes". I couldn't! I wanted to soak in every single moment with my eye balls. I'll be riding this high for quite a bit. I love air conditioned Chase Field 100%. Feeling recharged and ready to rock this week. From the moment my eyes opened this morning I went back and forth from - self doubt and self consciousness. . Is opening up and sharing my shit really going to be able to help inspire others or should I just shut the fuck up now and keep it bottled up, like so many others. . Can I handle the judgement and people I’m potentially going to lose or offend amongst telling my truth in the hope to free myself and anyone else I’m resonating with. . I’m so excited to jump back into #halfmarathontraining again after my week off, and I’m doing everything I can to set myself up for success! 🙌 Step 1 - #mealprep. Paprika chicken thighs with kale rice for lunch (side spinach salads not pictured), and #eggbites with spinach, mushroom, basil, and Parmesan for breakfast. 🍖🍚🥗🥚🍃🍄🧀 I’ve got all kinds of grab-and-go snacks ready as well.
